CONTEMPORARY LITERARY WRITINGS: A STUDY ON POST-MODERNIST POETICS

Resumo: This paper analyzes current artistic manifestations that could be interpreted as lyrical forms of literature. We analyze poems that are written to be part of the urban landscape, poetry used in walls of cities, as instruments of reflection and resistance to social actions of oppression and violence, from where predominantly derives the political nature of these postmodernist poetics. The research was based on the selection of 50 images of short poems transcribed in walls of Brazilian cities, in order to compose a random sample of poetic texts that could reveal characteristics common to these productions. The texts were organized and categorized through content analysis, based on the most representative thematic elements.

Trata-se de poemas escritos para fazer parte da paisagem urbana, a poesia utilizada em muros e paredes das cidades, como instrumentos de reflexão e resistência às ações sociais de opressão e violência, o que deriva a natureza predominantemente política dessas poéticas pós-modernistas. A pesquisa baseou-se na seleção de 50 imagens de poemas curtos transcritos em muros de cidades brasileiras, a fim de compor uma amostra aleatória de textos poéticos que pudessem revelar características comuns a essas produções.
