Resumo: | This article presents Mathematical Modeling as a methodological possibility in Elementary School, in which the student is the agent in the construction of knowledge. It is a proposal that can be made with students of 7th grade of elementary school and aims to investigate through the reality of the student, the caloric control of food consumed daily, contributing significantly in learning the concepts of percentage. We present a modeling activity that makes it possible to discuss the concept of percentage with an approach related to the calories of the foods they eat. Thus, we approach a situation that is very present in the daily lives of students. From this theme, we developed a modeling situation that allows discussing percentage using contexts of the student's daily life. |

From this theme, we developed a modeling situation that allows discussing percentage using contexts of the student's daily life.Este trabalho apresenta a Modelagem Matemática como uma proposta metodológica no Ensino Fundamental, na qual o aluno é o agente na construção do conhecimento. Constitui-se em uma proposta que pode ser realizada com alunos do 7° ano do Ensino Fundamental e tem por objetivo investigar, por meio da realidade do aluno, o controle calórico dos alimentos consumidos diariamente por ele, contribuindo de forma significativa na aprendizagem dos conceitos de porcentagem. Apresentamos uma atividade de modelagem que viabiliza discutir o conceito de porcentagem com uma abordagem relacionada com as calorias dos alimentos que eles ingerem. Dessa forma, abordamos uma situação que se faz bastante presente no dia a dia dos discentes.
