APONTAMENTOS INICIAIS ACERCA DA VILA DE ESTRELA/RS (1870-1900)

RESUMONesse artigo se busca elencar alguns apontamentos iniciais sobre a vila de Estrela/RS no período de 1870 até 1900, considerando seus precedentes e configurações iniciais, ressaltando que os resultados aqui dispostos são parte de um trabalho de pesquisa que originou um Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso. Para tanto, além de revisão de literatura foram empregados dados provenientes de construções de séries, baseados na metodologia serial, as fontes para tal empreendimento foram os inventários post-mortem do Cartório de Órfãos e Ausentes de Estrela, que estão alocados no Arquivo Público do Rio Grande do Sul (APERS). No desenvolvimento da escrita foi possível contactar definições e conceitos que auxiliaram na caracterização da região no período escolhido, ajustando a composição da constituição da vila. Além disso, as investigações de ordem teórica foram articuladas com os dados obtidos através da pesquisa com os documentos, descortinando um panorama sobre a região e trazendo informações, como em relação às localidades, à sociedade e economia e aos aspectos rurais e urbanos. Concluiu-se que a vila de Estrela passou por diversas experiências até sua constituição, desde a Fazenda Estrela, passando por seu loteamento colonial e posterior emancipação. Também se percebeu uma presença forte da elite local nas regiões de margem, fortificando as conexões com Porto Alegre, bem como, presença dos povos originários e escravizados. Há, portanto, uma diversidade de informações a ser exploradas, sendo parte delas aqui dispostas, mas com possibilidades de produções posteriores.ABSTRACTThis article seeks to list some initial notes about the village of Estrela / RS in the period from 1870 to 1900, considering its precedents and initial configurations, emphasizing that the results presented here are part of a research work that originated an Undergraduate thesis. For this purpose, in addition to the literature review, data from series constructions were used, based on the serial methodology, the sources for this undertaking were the post-mortem inventories of the Cartório de Órfãos e Absentes de Estrela, which are allocated in the Arquivo Público do (APERS). In the development of writing it was possible to contact definitions and concepts that helped in the characterization of the region in the chosen period, adjusting the composition of the constitution of the village. In addition, the theoretical investigations were articulated with the data obtained through the research with the documents, unveiling an overview of the region and bringing information, such as in relation to localities, society and economy and rural and urban aspects. It was concluded that the village of Estrela went through several experiences until its constitution, from Fazenda Estrela, through its colonial subdivision and subsequent emancipation. There was also a strong presence of the local elite in the margin regions, strengthening connections with Porto Alegre, as well as the presence of native and enslaved peoples. There is, therefore, a diversity of information to be explored, part of which is displayed here, but with possibilities for later productions.
