The Austrian School of Economics and the Mainstream: : a proposal for a dialogue through the DSGE model

Resumo: | After the 2008, crises in the academic world started to look for differents views that could explain and satisfy the general public about economics phenomena. The Rebulding Macroeconomics Project arises on this context, reuning mainstream economists who made some suggests to improve economics. On the other hand, it’s very important realize that some austrian economists – who predicted the financial crises – were left out or on the sideline of this debate. This paper, therefore, aims to point out the means to be explored by austrian economists for establishing open dialogue and seeking better insertion in the main economic debates, using as reference the project carried out by The Oxford Review nad the DSGE model. |

Lo proyecto Rebulding Macroeconomics surgió con este objetivo, reuniendo economistas mainstream que presentan sugerencias para la preparación de teorias económicas. Por outro lado, cabe señalar que algunos economistas austríacos – que predijeron la crises de 2008 – quedaron fuera o al margen de este debate. El objetivo de este estudo, por lo tanto, es señalar los médios que deben explorar los economistas austríacos para establecer um diálogo abierto y buscar uma mayor inserción em los principales debates económicos, utilizando como referencia el proyecto realizada por la Oxford Review y el modelo DSGE.Após a crise de 2008, o mundo acadêmico passou a buscar alternativas teóricas que pudessem satisfazeras exigências do público em geral relativas aos fenômenos econômicos. O projeto Rebulding Macroeconomics surgiu nesse viés, reunindo economistas mainstream que levantaram sugestões para aperfeiçoamento das teorias econômicas. Por outro lado, é mister notar que alguns economistas austríacos – que previram a crise financeira – ficaram de fora ou à margem desse debate.
