Innovation as influence factor in competitiveness of brazilian textile supply chain:: the vision of managers

Resumo: Brazilian textile industry companies face the challenge to innovate as a condition to increase its insertion in international market and preserve spaces in local market. This study aims to identify the factors related to innovation that influence the competitiveness of member companies of the Brazilian textile productive chain according to managers who work in them. We adopted qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews with leaders of the class focused sector entities, in order to identify innovations practiced by their constituents. Subsequently, a questionnaire was answered by professionals from various links of the Brazilian textile sector. Through factor analysis and correlation we identified obstacles to innovate, especially the lack of funding and support for the country's competitiveness on the global stage. However, the study detected practices leading to improved competitive conditions. Results may be of interest to companies resembled those of the surveyed sample, entities that represent their classes and also to funding agents.

En este estudio se buscan conocer cuáles factores relativos a la innovación influencian la competitividad de empresas de aquel sector, según sus gestores. Se recurrió, inicialmente, a entrevistas con dirigentes de entidades de clase del sector focalizado, buscando identificar las innovaciones practicadas por sus representados. Posteriormente, se realizó una investigación cuantitativa por medio de un cuestionario respondido por gestores que actúan en organizaciones de diversos eslabones del sector textil brasileño. Mediante análisis factorial y de correlación se identificaron obstáculos para innovar, con destaque a la falta de financiamiento y apoyo a la competitividad del país en el escenario global. Sin embargo, hay prácticas que conducen a mejores condiciones competitivas. Los resultados pueden interesar a empresas asimiladas a las de la muestra, a los representantes de las clases ya los agentes de financiación y al fomento de la productividad y la innovación.Para as empresas da cadeia produtiva têxtil brasileira a inovação é condição para a inserção no mercado internacional e preservação de espaços no mercado local. Recorreu-se, inicialmente, entrevistas com dirigentes de entidades de classe do setor focalizado, visando identificar as inovações praticadas por seus representados. Posteriormente, realizou-se pesquisa quantitativa por meio de um questionário respondido por gestores que atuam em organizações de diversos elos do setor têxtil brasileiro. Mediante análise fatorial e de correlação identificaram-se obstáculos para inovar, com destaque à falta de financiamento e apoio à competitividade do País no cenário global. Contudo, há práticas que conduzem a melhores condições competitivas.
