Resumo: The article analyzes notions as individual liberty and human choices which permeate Star Wars movies saga, created by the moviemaker George Lucas. Besides addressing the series narratology from the monomyth theories of Joseph Campbell, the author shows that these stories also can be seen in the light of Russell Kirk’s notion of Moral Imagination. The author discusses the story philosophical and praxeological aspects and emphasizes how these narratives may be appropriated as illustrative examples of some theoretical proposals of Austrian School of Economics.

Instituto Mises Brasil2014-06-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistamises.org.br/misesjournal/article/view/60510.30800/mises.2014.v2.605MISES: Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy, Law and Economics; Vol. 2 No. 1 (2014); 259-277MISES: Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy, Law and Economics; Vol. 2 Núm. 1 (2014); 259-277MISES: Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy, Law and Economics; v. 2 n. 1 (2014); 259-2772594-91872318-0811reponame:Misesinstname:Instituto Mises Brasilinstacron:IMBporhttps://revistamises.org.br/misesjournal/article/view/605/311Catharino, Alexinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2019-06-08T02:31:52Zoai:ojs.emnuvens.com.br:article/605Revistahttps://revistamises.org.br/misesjournalPRIhttps://revistamises.org.br/misesjournal/oairevista@mises.org.br2594-91872318-0811opendoar:2019-06-08T02:31:52Mises - Instituto Mises Brasilfalse
