Resumo: | This Thesis reports on the development of a novel triband base station (BTS) antenna array for the two fifth generation 5G New Radio (5G NR) frequency ranges, i.e., frequency range 1 (FR1) and frequency range 2 (FR2). The proposed array combines three different dipole-shaped antenna subarrays, one designed for FR2 and two for FR1, aiming sectorial coverage, multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO), and massive MIMO applications. Particularly, a total of 98 radiating elements implies in 80, 16, and 2 antenna array elements for the 26 GHz band (N258 bands), 3.5 GHz band (N77 and N78 bands) and sub-GHz band (N20 and N28 bands), respectively. Experimental results, in accordance to ANSYS HFSS numerical simulations, demonstrate dualpolarization feature and the following bandwidths: 0.65-0.88, 2.76-4.2, and 24.9-27.8 GHz. Regarding the array radiation pattern and MIMO figures of merit, the coupling among the array adjacent elements is kept lower than -20 dB and envelope correlation coefficient below 0.005. Furthermore, all the array elements provide a beamwidth of approximately 60 ??, cross polarization lower than -20 dB and gain from 7 to 9.7 dBi over the 5G bands. |

A estrutura radiante proposta baseia-se na combina????o de tr??s sub-arranjos de antenas baseados em dipolo, um projetado para FR2 e dois para FR1, visando aplica????es de longo alcance, MIMO ( multiple-input and multiple-output) e MIMO massivo (mMIMO-massive MIMO). O prot??tipo ?? composto por 98 elementos, sendo 80 para a banda de 26 GHz (banda N258), 16 para a banda de 3,5 GHz (bandas N77 e N78) e 02 para a banda de sub-GHz (bandas N20 e N28). A topologia de arranjo permite a integra????o das tr??s faixas de frequ??ncia para duas polariza????es ??45??. Demonstra-se numericamente e experimentalmente as seguintes larguras de faixa: de 0,65 a 0,88 GHz (30%), de 2,76 a 4,2 GHz (41,4%), e de 24,9 a 27,8 GHz (9,92%). Al??m disso, o acoplamento m??tuo entre os elementos do arranjo se manteve inferior ?? -20 dB e o coeficiente de correla????o de envolt??ria (ECC- envelope correlation coefficient) menor que 0,005.
