Resumo: We dare qualify this editorial as “state of the art" as it synthesizes academic production on cancer control (CC), from different areas of knowledge, mapped in this thematic issue of RBC. When complete it, we highlight the importance of this initiative to bring together multiple perspectives and plurality of approaches, allowing the organization of the set of information and results obtained by Brazilian researchers. Network of wires that are joined, that rupture, that intersect, that produce...Osamos calificar este editorial “estado de arte”, dado que sintetiza la producción académica sobre el cuello del útero (CCU), de las más diferentes áreas del conocimiento, producción de la que se hizo un mapeo en esta edición temática de la RBC. Al concluirlo, ponemos de relieve la importancia de la iniciativa por reunir esta multiplicidad de perspectivas y pluralidad de enfoques, lo que permite la organización del conjunto de informaciones y de resultados obtenidos por investigadores brasileños. Su lectura no debe ser lineal ni encadenar un texto con otro. Cada uno de ellos, mas que conectado a los que lo anteceden y suceden, presenta, en su interior, importantes enunciados. La imagen que mejor puede sintetizar esta compilación es la de “red” y no la de cadena. Red de hilos que se unen, que se rompen, que se cruzan, que se producen…Ousamos qualificar este editorial de “estado da arte” uma vez que ele sintetiza a produção acadêmica sobre câncer do colo do útero (CCU), das mais diferentes áreas do conhecimento, mapeada neste número temático da RBC. Ao concluí-lo, destacamos a importância da iniciativa de reunir essa multiplicidade de perspectivas e pluralidade de enfoques, permitindo o ordenamento do conjunto de informações e de resultados obtidos por pesquisadores brasileiros. Sua leitura não deve ser linear ou em uma simples cadeia. Cada texto, mais do que ligado àqueles que o antecedem e o sucedem, traz, em seu interior, importantes enunciados.
