It is with great pleasure that we present the proceedings of the Vl SBPBUCAL (Brazilian Symposium on Oral Cancer Research), a scientific event aimed at fostering the discussion and presentation of research projects on oral cancer. The event brought together educators, students, and researchers from educational institutions in the region, as well as representatives from the scientific, business, and investment communities. The organization of the Vl SBPBUCAL had the participation and dedication of the teaching team, composed of Prof. Me. Roberto Wagner Lopes Góes and Prof. Dra. Cizelene do Carmo Faleiros Veloso Guedes. Additionally, we had the collaboration of the students from LAE-FPM (Academic League of Stomatology of the Faculdade Patos de Minas), who played a fundamental role in the organization and execution of the event. We also thank the indispensable support of the Faculdade Patos de Minas. During the Vl SBPBUCAL, presentations of research project abstracts were held, along with lectures given by renowned experts in the field. The event provided a conducive environment for knowledge exchange, debates, and networking among participants, thus contributing to the advancement of research and knowledge related to oral cancer. The papers presented in this volume of the proceedings represent a synthesis of the research projects that were submitted and selected for presentation at the Vl SBPBUCAL. We hope that this compilation of abstracts and lectures serves as an inspiring source of new ideas and contributes to the continuous advancement in the fight against and prevention of oral cancer. We express our gratitude to everyone involved and wish you all an excellent reading!
