Resumo: Throughout history, the process of pregnancy and childbirth in Brazil has undergone several changes. From the 20th century onwards, a new assistance centered on medical control, intervention and use of technology began to be used and women lost autonomy during childbirth, thus becoming vulnerable to obstetric violence. To carry out an analysis of women's health and the practice of obstetric violence. Systematic bibliographic research, carried out in the Scielo, PubMed and Google Scholar databases to better support the subject. It was observed that nursing helps to follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization and implement humanized care, reducing interventions in childbirth.

A partir del siglo 20, una nueva asistencia centrada en el control médico, la intervención y el uso de la tecnología comenzó a utilizarse y las mujeres perdieron autonomía durante el parto, volviéndose así vulnerables a la violencia obstétrica. Realizar un análisis de la salud de la mujer y la práctica de la violencia obstétrica. Investigación bibliográfica sistemática, realizada en las bases de datos Scielo, PubMed y Google Scholar para apoyar mejor el tema. Se observó que la enfermería ayuda a seguir las recomendaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud e implementar cuidados humanizados, reduciendo las intervenciones en el parto.Ao longo da história, o processo de gravidez e parto no território brasileiro passou por várias mudanças. A partir do século XX, uma nova assistência centrada no controle médico, intervenção e uso de tecnologia começou a ser utilizada e as mulheres perdem a autonomia durante o parto, assim ficando vulneráveis a violência obstétrica. Objetivou-se realizar uma análise sobre a saúde da mulher e a prática de violência obstétrica. Pesquisa bibliográfica sistemática, realizada nos bancos de dados Scielo, PubMed e Google Acadêmico para melhor respaldar sobre o assunto.
