Resumo: Urban afforestation provides cities with countless benefits, climate stability, improved air quality, and helps to conserve the environment. Thus, the objective was to make, through the qualitative method and the literature review methodology, a study on urban afforestation, its importance and to verify the importance of environmental education for afforestation. It was realized that it is of fundamental importance that there is good planning for the adaptation of the tree species chosen and inserted in the urban space, how to apply these concepts in the classroom as a cross-cutting theme, forming students more aware of the environment.

Sendo assim, objetivou-se fazer, através do método qualitativo e a metodologia de revisão de literatura um estudo sobre a arborização urbana verificando sua importância ea sua importância da educação ambiental para a arborização.
