Resumo: Hypomatured imperfect amelogenesis (AI) is of genetic origin and hereditary recessive character. Dental enamel is a rigid tissue with 96% hydroxyapatite; during their formation, ameloblasts may suffer harmful stimuli, thus impairing their maturation and mineralization; it presents structural defects, aesthetic compromise, reduction of the vertical dimension, tooth sensitivity. It is believed that early and multidisciplinary treatment can reduce the aesthetic and functional disorders caused by the disease, as it is currently possible to restore aesthetics and function to acceptable levels, positively interfering with the patient's performance and self-esteem. Therefore, the objective was to report the case of a 17-year-old female patient, the difficulties and complications caused by (AI). After a careful anamnesis, a conservative rehabilitation treatment was proposed, which consists of reducing tooth sensitivity, restoring the vertical dimension, returning function and aesthetics; direct veneers were made with composite resin with minimal wear. A general and functional aesthetic improvement was observed, and it is hoped that a quality of life and self-esteem in the patient will be restored.
