Resumo: Gamidactylus hopliussp, n. foi coletada nas fossas nasais de Hoplias maiabaricus.A nova espécie é semelhante a Gamidactylus jaraquensise a Gamidactylus bryconis,por possuir antena com uma garra terminal e um espinho móvel subterminal no terceiro segmento, além de um par de fortes retroestiletes laterais móveis, no primeiro somito toracico. Difere das duas espécies conhecidas na forma e posição dos retroestiletes e na ornamentação das pernas.
