Resumo: A indústria de Private Equity e Venture Capital tem tido sua relevância notada em alguns países emergentes, porém, infelizmente é somente nos países mais desenvolvidos da Europa e os Estados Unidos que é dada maior atenção e um maior montante é destinado a essa indústria. Este estudo visa mapear e comparar as diferentes características da atividade de Private Equity e Venture Capital em três pólos: Brasil, EUA e Europa. Para tanto, foi recolhida informação sobre a atividade em todos os três locais e foi feita uma análise sobre a situação da atividade em de cada um dos lugares.
