Resumo: Essa dissertação investiga a relação entre inflação e crescimento através de um modelo de crescimento endógeno, reproduzindo e expandindo o trabalho proposto por De Gregório (1993). São apresentados dois modelos para a investigação de diferentes canais pelos quais a inflação afeta o crescimento, enfatizando respectivamente o efeito da inflação sobre o nível de investimento das economias e sobre a produtividade do investimento. A relação negativa entre crescimento e inflação é avaliada empiricamente para uma amostra de 90 países, de 1977 a 2010. Posteriormente a isso, a fim de tornar este trabalho pouco mais comparável ao artigo no qual este se baseia, os testes empíricos são refeitos para um recorte de países pertencentes a America Latina, OCDE e o restante da amostra.
