Resumo: The importance of local context for developing became clusters a focus for regional development policies, as occurred in Parana state since 2003. Thus, this paper aimed to evaluate the impact of these policies, with a metodological analysis from Clothing Cluster located in Southwest of Paraná. This research is classified as a case study, with quantitative and qualitative approach through the database RAIS/TEM and technical reports. The results indicated that the job growth occurred in cluster in the same proportion of this sector in the state, keeping the location quotient. Furthermore, research has identified the profile of clothing workers, having similar characteristics with high prevalence rates in the state of Parana and cluster, which can assist in the formulation of policies.

Assim, este artigo objetivou avaliar o impacto destas políticas, a partir da análise do APL de Confecção Sudoeste do Paraná. A investigação está classificada como um estudo de caso, com abordagem quanti-qualitativa a partir da base de dados da RAIS/MTE e relatórios técnicos. Os resultados indicaram que o crescimento de empregos no APL ocorreu na mesma proporção deste setor no Estado, mantendo o quociente locacional.
