Innovation, Creative Economy and Development: an approximation for the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre between 2006 and 2013

Resumo: Innovation and creative economy are challenging issues to study and research, and the aspects that arise from them are important in regional development. This article presents a theoretical characterization of the creative industries and innovation by taking metropolitan Porto Alegre as a hub of intensive technological activity. The study was descriptive in method and made use of quantitative RAIS data. Such contributions are relevant and pertinent and refer to a reflective proposal that adds to interdisciplinarity by focusing on the interface of the topics discussed here. It follows that these categories consolidate the representativity of the region and demonstrate their social impact.

El propósito de este artículo es caracterizar teóricamente las industrias creativas y la innovación en la Gran Porto Alegre como polo de actividades intensivas en tecnología representativas en la zona. La metodología del estudio es descriptiva y usa datos cuantitativos de la Relación Anual de Informaciones Sociales (RAIS). Estas contribuciones son relevantes y se refieren a una propuesta de reflexión que agrega la interdisciplinariedad, buscando la interfaz de los temas tratados aquí. De ello, se entiende que estas categorías consolidan la región y demuestran el impacto social.Os temas inovação e economia criativa são um desafio de estudo e de pesquisa e seus aspectos decorrentes representam um lugar de destaque no desenvolvimento regional. O objetivo deste artigo consiste em caracterizar, teoricamente, as indústrias criativas e a inovação verificando a Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre enquanto polo de atividades intensivas em tecnologia representativa na área. A metodologia do estudo é descritiva e faz uso de dados quantitativos da Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS). Tais contribuições são relevantes e pertinentes e remetem a uma proposta reflexiva que agrega a interdisciplinaridade, buscando a interface dos temas aqui discutidos.
