BRICS: the coalition evolution throughout seven years

Resumo: This article has the purpose to analyze the evolution of BRICS operating as an international coalition. It is noticed that their relations have gone through two phases, by means of experienced changes upon the international context as of 2008 to 2015. The first, from 2009 to 2012, when the foreign dimension block was privileged. The second, from 2013 to 2015, when the crisis was felt more severely by the five countries, of which a considerable round of discussion was opened to entice the internal agenda among BRICS. Therefore, the text is organized as follows: after a brief contextualizing introduction, in the second section it is analyzed the manner in which the foreign dimension of the grouping had evolved. The internal dimension of the block is scrutinized in the third section. Finally, the last section renders conclusion for the purpose to connect these two dimensions with certain important events which marked the international scenario throughout this period.

Sus relaciones han pasado por dos etapas en función de los cambios ocurridos en el contexto internacional del 2008 hasta el 2015. La primera, 2009-2012, cuando fue privilegiada la dimensión externa del bloque. La segunda, 2013-2015, en la cual la crisis se hizo sentir más fuertemente en los cinco países del grupo, cuando se abrió un espacio considerable a la discusión de una dimensión interna en las relaciones entre los BRICS. En ese sentido, el texto así se organiza: tras una corta introducción, en la segunda sección se analiza el modo como se ha desarrollado la agenda externa del grupo. En seguida, se examina la dimensión interna de las relaciones del BRICS. Finalmente, la última sección trae algunos apuntamientos conclusivos, buscando relacionar el modo como avanzaron las dos agendas, distintas y complementarias, con ciertos hechos importantes que han marcado el escenario internacional del periodo en análisis.Este artigo tem o objetivo de analisar o desenvolvimento dos BRICS como coalizão internacional. Observa-se que suas relações passaram por duas etapas em função das mudanças experimentadas pelo contexto internacional no período 2008-2015. A primeira, de 2009 a 2012, em que foi privilegiada a dimensão externa do bloco. A segunda, entre 2013 e 2015, em que a crise já se fez sentir com mais severidade pelos cinco membros do grupo, na qual se abriu um espaço considerável para a discussão de uma dimensão interna das relações entre os BRICS. O texto está organizado como segue: após uma breve introdução de contextualização, na primeira seção analisa-se a maneira pela qual evoluiu a agenda externa do agrupamento. Em seguida, na segunda parte, examina-se a dimensão interna das relações dos BRICS.
