Resumo: | The aim of this paper was to analyze the structural dynamics and differential in employment in the regions of Paraná State for the period between 2005 and 2009. Furthermore, it was identified the sectors that have similar behavior when comparing the set of Paraná State’s microregions. The methodology used was shift-share method to analyze the dynamics of employment, and factorial multivariate analysis by principal components method to identify the sectors that have similar behavior and the percentage of variance explained by Factors of the VLT from the sectorial grouping. The results showed that 33.33% of the microregions of the State had total formal employment growth above the state average in this period. The shift-share method showed that the microregional employment behavior was distinct. In most of the microregions the local/ differential factors were the ones that most explained the different results. In the sectorial analysis the civil construction, food and beverage industry and textile industries were the most important. In the tertiary sector the retail trade, wholesale trade, public administration and education were the highlights. Factor analysis confirmed the diversification of employment in the microregions and stressed the importance of traditional industry in generating employment in Parana State. |
