The Influence of Social Networks on the Emotional Health of First Grade High School Students at the Escola de Referência em Ensino Médio Clementino Coelho

Resumo: | This article presents the results of a survey carried out at the Escola de Referência em Ensino Médio Clementino Coelho (EREMCC), with seven first-year classes, about the relationship between 'social networks' and 'emotional health'. To this end, we sought to investigate how the social network influences the emotional health of young people in the first grades, as well as to measure the time of use of networks, compare data between the analyzed classes, analyze the relationship between the use of networks and the impacts on emotional health, highlighting the effects of dopamine on the brain when using the Tik Tok and Instagram networks, showing how these platforms use this neurotransmitter to become addicted and attract attention. In order to reach these objectives, the research was based on a qualitative and quantitative methodological perspective, using, for data collection, a questionnaire whose questions dealt with social networks, time of use and types of material accessed on the networks, in addition to of parental control, a predominant feeling in the absence of cell phones, among others. The results showed an average of 7.57 hours of daily use on the networks and a close relationship between the time of use, accessed content and feelings of sadness, anxiety, depression, boredom, hate and emptiness. |

Para tanto, buscou-se investigar como a rede social influencia a saúde emocional dos jovens das primeiras séries, assim como mensurar o tempo de uso das redes, comparar os dados entre as turmas analisadas, analisar a relação entre o uso das redes e os impactos na saúde emocional, destacando os efeitos da dopamina no cérebro durante o uso das redes Tik Tok e Instagram, evidenciando como essas plataformas utilizam desse neurotransmissor para viciar e atrair a atenção. Para alcance desses objetivos, apoiou-se a pesquisa na perspectiva metodológica quali-quantitativa, utilizando-se, para a coleta de dados, de um questionário cujas perguntas versavam sobre as redes sociais, tempo de uso e tipos de material acessado nas redes, além do controle dos pais, sentimento predominante na ausência do celular, entre outros.
