The Presence of Portuguese-language African Literatures in the Polyhedron – Education System

Resumo: | Portuguese-language African literature, compared to that of other countries, is considered recent. Situated, panoramically, in a colonial and post-colonial division, these literatures are still little explored in Brazilian schools, even though their teaching has become mandatory in accordance with the provisions of Law 10.639/03. To make the set of literature and the study of literatures constitute possibilities for intercultural, decolonial and anti-racist exchanges that have very significant psychological, social, cultural and political implications for the educational environment of basic education. In this sense, this article describes and analyzes the way in which Portuguese-language African literatures are approached in the material produced by Poliedro – Sistema de Ensino, having as reference the guidelines contained in the National Common Curricular Base. |

Situadas, panoramicamente, em uma divisão colonial e pós-colonial, essas literaturas ainda são pouco exploradas nas escolas brasileiras, ainda que seu ensino tenha se tornado obrigatório em conformidade com o que preceitua a Lei 10.639/03. Um dos ganhos da leitura e do estudo dessas literaturas constitui-se em possibilidades de trocas interculturais, decoloniais e antirracistas que apresentam implicações psicológicas, sociais, culturais e políticas bastante significativas para o meio educacional do ensino básico.
