Resumo: | The most commonly purchased over-the-counter pain relievers, called over-the-counter or non-prescription painkillers, are sodium dipyrone, paracetamol and aspirin. Such drugs are almost always used as self-medication, and their indications and adverse effects must be carefully considered. The aim of this study is to compare the properties, indications, adverse effects and dosages of these analgesics. This research presents a Comparative Study, carried out through bibliographic research. The results were presented in tables, from which it can be concluded that the three analgesics have different properties but similar therapeutic action, and the choice for one of them is mainly based on personal taste. However, although its sale is free and does not require the presentation of a medical prescription, its use does not dispense care and pharmaceutical guidance at the risk of its use harming the patient's health, even in the short term. |
