IDENTIFICATION OF ADVERSE EVENTS IN CHILDREN: AN INTEGRATIVE REVIEW

This article investigates, through an integrative literature review, the main adverse events in children. Methods: This is an integrative literature review carried out in the SciELO, LILACS and BDENF databases between the months of October and November 2020, which generated 38 references. After removing duplicates and using the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the final sample consisted of 7 articles. Results: Adverse events would be largely avoided if some policies were implemented seeking interaction between the nursing team (reviewing the cases, studying them in a specific way, and taking the appropriate notes), the companions and the patient. Conclusion: The participation of nursing in the child's hospitalization process is very important because it contributes to the reduction of adverse events.
