INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AS STRATEGIES FOR THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH IN COPING WITH COVID-19

The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus (Covid-19) has been considered a landmark event at the beginning of this century and has caused profound changes in contemporary society. Among these transformations, the pandemic brought the urgency of innovative solutions to new problems and paradigms, including in the field of health. Objective: Thus, the main objective of this research is to know the ways in which information technologies can be used for health promotion actions in confronting COVID-19. Methodology: The research is presented as an integrative literature review. The integrative review has as its main characteristic the synthesis of knowledge and the incorporation of the applicability of results of significant studies in practice. Results: After analyzing the chosen articles, the research selected 11 articles for use in the discussion according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusion: The research indicated that technology in the health field in the pandemic context has accelerated the development of teleconsultation, teleservice, clinical patient management, imaging diagnosis, use of artificial intelligence, geolocation applications, tools for data analysis and reporting, self-diagnosis.
