Resumo: Any epidemic that plagues a country is traumatic, hard and difficult not only to pass, but to assimilate as well. Imagine then a pandemic! It should be something to remember for future generations. But is that really how it happens? Do we learn from the mistakes of the past so that we will not practice them again in the future? The focus that guides this work is to carry out an epistemological analysis under the contemporary sociology bias of the COVID-19 pandemic that humanity is going through, reflecting on what it can mean for everyone, the lessons we can (and should) learn, the mistakes committed before and after it and possible ways to not only overcome it, but to overcome ourselves. It is a theoretical-bibliographic research of literature review.

Aprendemos com os erros do passado para não voltarmos a pratica-los no futuro? O foco que norteia este trabalho é realizar uma análise epistemológica sob viés da Sociologia Contemporânea da pandemia de COVID-19 que a humanidade está passando, refletindo sobre o que ela pode significar para todos, as lições que podemos (e devemos) aprender, os erros cometidos antes e depois da mesma e possíveis caminhos para não apenas superá-la, mas para nos superarmos.
