The study in question may highlight the importance of the technical responsible nurse's role in the vaccination room and identifies the factors that can lead to failures in the activities carried out. Through an integrative literature review, articles published between 2015 and 2023 in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) database were analyzed. Objective: To describe the importance of the professional nurse responsible for the vaccination room. In addition to these objectives, a theoretical foundation was sought regarding management aspects in vaccination rooms, focusing on assistance and ongoing education. Results and discussion: The data collected was distributed across three thematic axes: continuing education as a tool to reduce errors; historical context of vaccination and the National Immunization Program and the role of the RT nurse in the vaccination room. The main points highlighted were the focus on assistance, continuing education and nursing supervision. Highlighting the importance of constant evaluation of the procedures and activities carried out by nursing professionals in vaccination rooms. Allowing you to identify possible faults and correct them, ensuring the quality of the service provided. Final considerations: It was possible to observe that the technical responsible nurse has an essential role in vaccination rooms, acting directly and indirectly, from storing immunobiologicals to administering and providing guidance to patients. But due to demand, the professional presents difficulties in relation to supervision and management at vaccination points. As justification for this issue, the overload of activities carried out by this professional, the lack of physical and material resources and teamwork stand out.
