Resumo: | Introduction: Motherhood has become a great challenge in the midst of the moment we live in promoting female autonomy, maintaining exclusive breastfeeding ended up being exhausting and frustrating in the face of tiring working hours, domestic routine and breast complications, in turn the Nursing tends to pay attention to the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, seeking interventions that can disseminate the kindness of maintaining this practice in an integral way. Objective: The present study aims to highlight the difficulties encountered by postpartum women and the contributions of nursing to breastfeeding. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review study that has a qualitative and descriptive character. Results and discussions: Among the difficulties cited by postpartum women in maintaining full breastfeeding is insecurity in the face of physiological changes and sudden changes in routine, inaccuracy of information about the nutrition offered by breastfeeding where, from their perspective, it is necessary to be supplemented, as well as changes in the breasts, which tends to be the reason for greater commitment to this act. Conclusion: Nursing has a crucial role in health education that goes beyond prenatal care, paying attention to effective breastfeeding to the point of providing measures that help mothers maintain this routine of offering breast milk is of paramount importance and an urgent measure that must be reinforced daily. |

Objetivo: O presente estudo visa colocar em pauta as dificuldades encontradas pelas puérperas e as contribuições da enfermagem frente ao aleitamento materno. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura que tem como caráter qualitativo e descritivo. Resultados e discussões: Dentre as dificuldades citadas pelas puérperas para manter um aleitamento pleno está a insegurança frente as mudanças fisiológicas e alterações brusca da rotina, imprecisão de informações sobre a nutrição ofertada pelo aleitamento materno onde na ótica das mesmas é necessário ser complementada, como também as alterações das mamas que tende a ser o motivo de maior comprometimento desse ato.
