As a main objective, this research will be based on describing the women's knowledge about the importance of the Pap test, in order to make the prevention of cervical cancer viable. With this, this study will be based on a natural and exploratory methodology, where the knowledge of women about the Pap smear in the prevention of cervical cancer will be raised. This will be done using Google Scholar and Scientific Electronic Library Online as data source, in order to obtain data based on quality scientific methodologies. Thus, this study is considered conclusive and pertinent to the health area, because it managed to show the importance of Pap smear in the lives of women and that, in addition, through good guidance and training by professionals, it is possible that this methodology is no longer a taboo and starts to be more effective and widespread among women.
