Resumo: | Objective: To analyze the use of psychotropic drugs by users of a Family Health Strategy Unit in a medium-sized municipality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Cross-sectional and retrospective study, based on the analysis of medical records from March to July 2022. Results: The sample consisted of 282 medical records, most of which were female patients, with complete secondary education, without a partner and unemployed. With the pandemic, an increase in the prescription of psychotropic drugs from the antidepressant class was noticed from the more frequent diagnosis of anxiety, but without longitudinal follow-up by the team. During the second wave of the pandemic, there was a decrease in the prescription of Biperiden, Haloperidol and an increase in Sertraline. Conclusions: There was a significant increase in the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and the prescription of psychotropic medications during the pandemic, highlighting the need for attention by the teams to this population. |
