THE IMPORTANCE OF NA EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION IN THE CARE OF HEARING IMPAIRED PEOPLE

Resumo: Objective: The main purpose of the study was to evaluate the importance of an effective communication between health professionals and hearing impaired, and to understand how those ones communicate. Methodology: It is a descriptive and qualitative exploratory study, based on an integrative literature review, between 2009 to 2018, by searches in virtual health databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Sistema Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) and Virtual Health Library (BVS – BIREME). Results: The results found evidence the real problem that is the hearing impaired assistance, due to the communication barrier. Conclusion: Through the studies it has been noticed that the most part of health professionals are not able to attend hearing impaired patients. It is a legal and ethical responsibility from the professionals to provide appropriate assistance to deaf users that communicate with Libras.

Objetivos: O estudo teve o objetivo de analisar a importância da comunicação eficaz entre deficiente auditivo e profissionais de saúde e entender como os deficientes auditivos se comunicam. Metodologia: Este é um trabalho de estudo exploratório descritivo e qualitativo, realizado por meio de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, no período de 2009 a 2018, mediante buscas em base de dados virtuais em saúde, no Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Sistema Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS – BIREME). Resultados: Os resultados encontrados evidenciam que a assistência para pacientes com deficiência auditiva é um problema, devido à grande barreira da comunicação. Conclusão: Diante dos estudos foi observado que grande parte de os profissionais de saúde não estão capacitados para atenderem pacientes com deficiência auditiva. É de responsabilidade legal e ética dos profissionais de saúde proporcionar a assistência adequada para os usuários surdos que se comunicam por meio da Libras.
