Burnout Syndrome: Factors related to mental health problems in emergency professionals

Resumo: Burnout syndrome is caused by several factors, such as psychic exhaustion and chronic interpersonal stressors in the work environment, which are characterized by three interdependent dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and excessive workload, and demand that impairs the psychological and physical. BS can be triggered by anyone, but it is more present in professionals who maintain direct contact with the public. Objective: The aim of this study was to describe aspects associated with Burnout Syndrome and Occupational Stress in nurses who work in an emergency service. Methodology: used was an exploratory bibliographical and qualitative review of the integrative literature review type, being carried out through data surveys in the virtual libraries BVS, PUBMED, PEPSIC and SCIELO the search for scientific articles on the subject. Results and Discussion: were that the Burnout Syndrome manifests itself mainly in the field of action of emergency professionals due to low remuneration, overload of services, double working hours and provision of care in high demand. Conclusion: it is evident that the Burnout Syndrome is related to the style and quality of life of health professionals, with a focus on those who work in the emergency, and it is necessary to offer less workload for these professionals due to their great susceptibility to develop the pathology.

A SB pode ser desencadeada por qualquer pessoa, porém é mais presente em profissionais que mantém contato direto com o público. Objetivo: O artigo em questão tem como objetivo descrever os aspectos associados à Síndrome de Burnout e o Estresse Ocupacional em enfermeiros que atuam em um serviço de emergência.  Metodologia: baseia-se em uma revisão exploratória bibliográfica e qualitativa do tipo revisão integrativa da literatura, sendo realizada por meio de levantamentos de dados nas bibliotecas virtuais BVS, PUBMED, PEPSIC e SCIELO a busca por artigos científicos a respeito do tema, sendo 7 artigos acadêmicos selecionados a respeito da temática central. Resultados e Discussão: Os dados obtidos foram que a Síndrome de Burnout manifesta-se principalmente no campo de atuação dos profissionais de emergência devido à baixa remuneração, sobrecarga de serviços, duplas jornadas de trabalho e por prestação do atendimento em alta demanda.
