Resumo: This research had as main objective to study the association between the Executive Functions (FE), emotional aspects and the Effectiveness of an Adult Technical Training Program. This research had as main objective to study the association between the Executive Functions (FE), emotional aspects and the Effectiveness of an Adult Technical Training Program. The sample consisted of a total of 92 telemarketing operators, of the receptive and active type of sales, recently admitted. All operators were evaluated by personality and cognitive measures, as well as participating in the Product Training Program. A questionnaire was used to collect sociodemographic data, the Memory of Recognition Test (TMR), the Attenuated Attention Tests (TEACO), Divided Attention (TEADI) and Alternate Attention (TEALT). To verify the planning and working memory, the Rey Complex Figure test and the NEO-FFI-R Personality Inventory (NEO PI-R short version) were used to evaluate the five major personality factors (Big Five). The telemarketing operators were evaluated in two moments: before and after the training. First, the cognitive and personality variables were evaluated; and after training, 30 days after the first application, only cognitive variables were repeated, for 59 participants, since 33 were switched off before the second application. Of the total sample of 92 participants, 54 were female (58.70%) and 38 were male (41.30%), with ages ranging from 19 to 58 years. The results of the personality aspects revealed scores, within the expected, for the Brazilian population. We highlight here low scores on the Neuroticism factor, demonstrating that the majority of participants in this study tend to be more emotionally, stable, and calm given the latter, which has less impact on cognitive processes. In the cognitive measures, before the technical product training, in the Rey- copy test, the group, total of 59 participants, presented a satisfactory performance of 78.12%, with a standard deviation of 29.92%. The result of Rey figure - memory was 48.51% assertiveness and a standard deviation of 31.74%. The group obtained a mean of 58.65% satisfactory performance in TEALT, TEADI and TEACO. In the post-training comparison, the group presented a 12% increase in planning performance and 44.2% in memory. And of 19.83% in relation to TEALT, TEADI and TEACO. In all tests, in which the Executive Functions (FE) were evaluated: attention, memory and organization and planning, after performing the training, the performance was better, and quite significantly, in relation to the first application. The data also suggest that the expression of more stable personality factors, associated and structured and controlled training, collaborate for better cognitive performance.

Submitted by Noeme Timbo (noeme.timbo@metodista.br) on 2018-05-22T19:16:52Z No. of bitstreams: 1 CarlaPalhava.pdf: 905263 bytes, checksum: d0d37450d5f703f38eeacf18f5083a66 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2018-05-22T19:16:52Z (GMT).
