Project management practices allow the use of project management techniques and tools adopted and consolidated all over the world. It is from this perspective the present study aims to identify the use of project management practices in the activities of health professionals during cancer treatment. In order to achieve the proposed objective, during the first phase, a bibliographic review was performed to understand the studies that address the research topic. This bibliographic review adopted Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus as bases, totaling 251 articles with a corpus of 20. Then, an applied research was carried out, using an exploratory-descriptive qualitative method with a semi-structured script for collecting data in contact with health professionals. treatment with cancer treatment. The data gathered from the 12 interviews were transcribed and loaded into on MAXQDA software. After the transcriptions are in the MAXQDA software, codes and identification of text segments were created so that it can be done in view of the objective of this research. Based on the results, it is possible to verify the use of project management practices by health teams in cancer treatment, even though these practices are often not performed by health professionals as project management practices. Furthermore, the results indicate that health professionals become overworked with the use of these practices, often during accreditations. The recommendation is that this management of multidisciplinary teams and their cancer patients will be done by a project management professional. Thus, health professionals can focus more on patients and be less burdened with these practices.
