Implicações dos acordos mec/usaid na práxis pedagógica dos professores de educação física do ensino superior (1966 a 1975)

Resumo: In the last years, Physical Education has been consolidating itself as a knowledge field for the teacher s and student s efforts to attend an increasing demand of professionals and new knowledges about health life style from the society. However, even with the consolidation, there are still gaps on these professional performances, mainly on the educational foundation and teaching exercise, in schools and universities. Therefore, we think it is basic to the Physical Education knowledge field development to search the origin of the field consolidation. These are the historical, politic, social and economic elements that contributed to the concept and teaching formulation of Physical Education in Brazil. Having the historical and dialectical materialism as basis, we believe that get back to the MEC/USAID agreements debate (Culture and Education Ministry of Brazil and United States Agency for International Development) can be useful to better understand the teaching exercise and the educational praxis in the Brazilian university and also offer a contribution to the academic debate on historical teaching formation.

Porém, mesmo com essa consolidação da área, ainda há lacunas na atuação desses profissionais, principalmente no que tange a compreensão sobre os fundamentos e as práticas realizadas no âmbito educacional, tanto nas escolas quanto nas universidades. Assim, achamos fundamental para desenvolvimento do campo de conhecimento da Educação Física, buscar as raízes históricas desse processo de consolidação da área, isto é, os elementos históricos, políticos, sociais e econômicos que contribuíram para a formulação dos conceitos e das práticas pedagógicas e educacionais da área da Educação Física no Brasil. Valendo-nos do referencial teórico do materialismo histórico dialético, acreditamos que recuperar o debate acerca das implicações dos acordos do Ministério da Educação e da Cultura (MEC) com a Agência para o Desenvolvimento Internacional dos Estados Unidos (USAID) para a práxis pedagógica docente no ensino da Educação Física na universidade, possibilitará o oferecimento de uma contribuição ao debate acadêmico da historicidade da formação de professores.Made available in DSpace on 2015-04-08T14:36:42Z (GMT).
