Resumo: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the airways with remodeling and hyper-reactivity. Obesity can influence the development and severity of asthma. The aerobic training (AT), has anti-inflammatory effects in the airways of asthmatics reducing systemic inflammation. Using an experimental model of asthma in obese mice, aimed to assess the effects of aerobic exercise training on inflammation, remodeling and airway reactivity. Were used 40 mice C57BL / 6 mice weighing between 18-22 grams, divided into: (n = 8 / group): control (C), Obese Control (CO), Exercise Obese (EO), Asthma (HDM), Asthma and Obese (HDMO), Exercise Asthma Obese (EHO). The animals were initially subjected to a high-fat diet for 10 weeks, followed by the induction protocol "asthma" means administration of 100ug of HDM (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus - HDM) intra-tracheal (1X / week for 8 weeks). The aerobic treadmill training (60% of full power, 25% grade, 1h / session, 5x / week for 5 weeks) beginning after the third administration of HDM. Were evaluated bronchial responsiveness, cell in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), differential cells in the airway wall, the bronchial remodeling, and cytokines (Th1, Th2, Th17 and adipokines) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and serum. They found an increase of the LAB cells and serum, as well as the pro-inflammatory cytokines, collagen and elastic fibers in HDM group compared with the other. The ATcould increase IL-10 levels in the LAB, being able to reverse many of the structural and inflammatory aspects of asthma.

Submitted by Nadir Basilio (nadirsb@uninove.br) on 2024-04-08T20:56:32Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Jefferson Comin Jonco Aquino Junior.pdf: 2702876 bytes, checksum: e8713a78635cf423ac019099f877c709 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2024-04-08T20:56:32Z (GMT). description Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the airways with remodeling and hyper-reactivity. Obesity can influence the development and severity of asthma. The aerobic training (AT), has anti-inflammatory effects in the airways of asthmatics reducing systemic inflammation.
