Resumo: This paper is a product of a broad and systematic research project, guided by the perspective of Geography, both as a science and as a practice of existence. This intends to offer the spistemic framework of Geography in order to contribute with reflections and actions in the field of cultural heritage. It is methodologically based on readings and reflections resulting from dialogic dynamics, field research, analysis of contexts and data from the PhD to the present day. The result of social work and substantiated by Urban Geography as a disciplinary unit that aims to offer an original contribution to the theoretical and methodological approach to the theme of cultural heritage in dialogue with Milton Santos.

Su objetivo es resaltar el marco espistémico de la Geografía para contribuir con reflexiones y acciones en el campo del patrimonio cultural. Se basa metodológicamente en lecturas, reflexiones, investigación de campo, análisis de contextos y datos desde el doctorado hasta nuestros dias. Originado del trabajo social y respaldado por Geografía Urbana como una unidad disciplinaria, este artículo buca ofrecer una contribución original al enfoque teórico y metodológico sobre el tema del patrimonio cultural en diálogo con Milton Santos.Este texto é produto de um amplo e sistemático projeto de pesquisa, orientado pela ótica da Geografia, tanto enquanto ciência, como prática de existência. Tem por objetivo evidenciar o arcabouço espistêmico da Geografia no sentido de contribuir com reflexões e ações no campo do patrimônio cultural. Baseia-se metodologicamente em leituras, reflexões, pesquisas em campo, análise de contextos e dados desde o doutoramento aos dias atuais.
