Resumo: | As a colonial model of organizing power, the nation-state has allowed the construction of a relationship between global elites that has favored a massive consumption of land in the Global South, imposing Western logic on traditional territories. In this way, this work aims to analyze the nation-state from a decolonial perspective, specifically from the coloniality of power, as a structure that facilitates agreements between the elites of developed and underdeveloped countries for the consumption of land in indigenous and traditional communities in the Southern Hemisphere. Taking the current global land market and the case of the Interoceanic Canal of Nicaragua, we intend to reflect on how the State allows domination and social control from oppression by race/ethnicity, social class, and culture through mechanisms that allow the acquisition of land by foreigners. |
