Resumo: | The aim of this paper is to review the planning processes to which the varied territories integrating the metropolis of Guadalajara have been subjected to the purposes of the main city as well as a functional vision emanating from the metropolitan scale. These processes have put under risk forms of life interacting with environmental elements have developed all the human settlements integrating the Metropolitan Area. Â Although the decisions affecting urban planning should not be taken on the political and territorial fragmentation of an area forming a continuum, we don’t believe that primary division in zones is the best mean to accomplish an inclusive, prosperous and ordained city. So our goal is to evidence the need to include local points of view in the metropolitan and municipal planning methodologies, which may turn out in a better resources management and a lesser lose for the cultural territorial patrimonies. |

So our goal is to evidence the need to include local points of view in the metropolitan and municipal planning methodologies, which may turn out in a better resources management and a lesser lose for the cultural territorial patrimonies.
