In the present work, the landscape is reflected from the cultural geography, which recognizes that the natural and cultural complexity of the landscape are invaluable riches. These invaluable riches, named as heritage in cultural management, are called here territorial inheritances (HT) with the intention of having a more democratic look at their identification. It reflects on the importance and complexity of identifying and categorizing these HT so they can be integrated into landscape cartography. A comprehensive and interdisciplinary view is suggested to understand the dynamics of the landscape with the aim of generating sustainable proposals for the benefit of the place and the population. To carry out the above, a methodology is created from the Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) approach for the landscape of Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco (México). The results are interpretations of the researchers who provide information from the local.
