Resumo: This artiche aims to analyze the recruiting process of the 1st Cavalry and Guards Regiment (1st RGC), in order to verify whether or not it corresponds to quality standards of Human Resources. It is analyzed, therefore, in the young people conscrited in the compulsory military service are able to perform the tasks proper to the RCG, according to their history and mission, as part of the Brazilian Army, given their indispensable role in the Armed Forces of Brazil.
