This article seeks the analysis of Portuguese language questions of the public contest of the STJ and the STM for the positions of technician and judicial analyst. It is not possible to have a public office without mastering the vernacular well, hence the great importance of studying Portuguese for public examinations. For this reason, the Portuguese language questions will be analyzed in two different levels of schooling, the middle and the upper level, trying to understand the criterion of difficulty of the questions in the tests, as well as to analyze the importance of studying the Portuguese language for public tenders in general. The research used is theoretical. In conclusion, it can be observed that the level of difficulty increases when the position to be occupied is of a higher level, because it is more complex.
