Resumo: The distancing from oral sources of research in the human sciences, provided by a positivist heritage, limited for years the analyzes based on myths, tales and stories as normative elements of the organization of some peoples. In this sense, this article seeks to reflect on the potential of Macuxi cosmology, through the analysis of its social and historical role. For that, part of the information presented in the dissertation defended by Elder Silva Marques was used, with the title “Anna Pantoni Eseru - The Ways of Understanding and Preservation of Archaeological Sites in Indigenous Communities: a case study on the Camararém Community, Makuxi Indigenous Land Roraima – Brazil”. This article sought to deepen the data collected for the dissertation, such as interviews and experience reports, in order to, based on historicist-based hermeneutics, identify which components of Macuxi mythology reverberate facts from the history of the Camararém community – Raposa Serra do Sol.

En ese sentido, este artículo busca reflexionar sobre las potencialidades de la cosmología macuxi, a través del análisis de su papel social e histórico. Para ello, se utilizó parte de la información presentada en la disertación defendida por el élder Silva Marques, con el título “Anna Pantoni Eseru - Las formas de comprensión y preservación de los sitios arqueológicos en las comunidades indígenas: un estudio de caso sobre la Comunidad Camararém, Indígena Makuxi Terreno, Roraima – Brasil”. Este artículo buscó profundizar los datos recopilados para la disertación, como entrevistas y relatos de experiencia, con el fin de, a partir de una hermenéutica de base historicista, identificar qué componentes de la mitología Macuxi repercuten en hechos de la historia de la comunidad de Camararém – Raposa Serra do Sol.  O distanciamento às fontes orais de pesquisa nas ciências humanas, proporcionado por uma herança positivista, limitou por anos as análises pautadas em mitos, contos e histórias como elementos normatizadores da organização de alguns povos. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo busca trazer uma reflexão sobre as potencialidades da cosmologia Macuxi, através da análise do seu papel social e histórico. Para tanto, foi utilizado parte das informações apresentadas na dissertação defendida por Elder Silva Marques, com o título “Anna Pantoni Eseru - As Formas de Compreensão e Preservação dos Sítios Arqueológicos em Comunidades Indígenas: um estudo de caso sobre a Comunidade Camararém, Terra Indígena Makuxi, Roraima – Brasil”.
