Resumo: The purpose of this study was to analyse the filler content of composites resins with nanomeric content. It was determined the filler weight content into each material (TGA); inorganic filler by scanning-electron microscopy (SEM), their dimensions and morphology; besides weight compounds with energy dispersed X – ray test. The composites Esthet X, Filtek Supreme XT and Grandio were divided in six groups according their commercial mark and color. Filler content´s values varied from 75,75 to 87 Wt%, to Esthet X D group and Grandio E group, respectively. To EDX test, O and Si elements were observed in all of groups. Al was observed into the composites Esthet X and Grandio groups and Ba was not observed in groups of Grandio E, Filtek Supreme E and Filtek Supreme D. The results obtained about means values (μm) were: Esthet X E – 1,16B; Esthet X D – 1,39B; Filtek Supreme E – 0,6B; Filtek Supreme D – 1,14AB; Grandio E – 2,05AB e Grandio D – 3,1A. At the morphology of particles analyses, the composites resins Esthet X and Grandio showed similar characteristics with a high quantity of irregular inorganic particles and heterogeneous morphology. In the other hand, the groups of Filtek Supreme XT composites presented different characteristics among the other groups and similar into their own groups. These groups showed a high quantity of spherical and regular particles, with homogeneous distribution and sizes. The results presented different inorganic particles morphology and sizes, independent of the type of the composite. It could be concluded that composite resins presented physical characteristics of shape and size of inorganic particles that is not always coincident with manufacturer and literature.

Foi determinando o conteúdo de carga em peso incorporado a cada material (TGA), o conteúdo inorgânico através da microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV), suas dimensões e morfologia, além dos componentes em peso pelo teste de Espectrografia por Dispersão de Raios X (EDS). As resinas compostas Esthet X, Filtek Supreme XT e Grandio foram divididas em seis grupos de acordo com a marca da resina composta e a cor. Os valores do conteúdo de carga variaram de 75,75 a 87 Wt% para o grupo Esthet X D e o grupo Grandio E, respectivamente. À análise por EDS, os elementos O e Si foram observados em todos os grupos. Al foi observado nos grupos das resinas compostas Esthet X e Grandio e Ba não foi observado nos grupos Grandio E, Filtek Supreme E e Filtek Supreme D. Os resultados obtidos sobre os valores médios (μm) foram: Esthet X E – 1,16в; Esthet X D – 1,39в; Filtek Supreme E – 0,6в; Filtek Supreme D – 1,14в; Grandio E – 2,05Aв e Grandio D – 3,1A. Na análise da morfologia das partículas, as resinas compostas Esthet X e Grandio apresentaram características semelhantes entre si com grande quantidade de partículas de carga inorgânica irregulares, de morfologia heterogênea. Por outro lado, os grupos da resina Filtek Supreme XT apresentaram características diferentes das demais e semelhantes entre si, quanto à morfologia. Evidenciaram grande quantidade de partículas de carga inorgânica esféricas, regulares, com distribuição e tamanho homogêneos. Os resultados mostraram diferentes formas e tamanhos de partículas inorgânicas, independente do tipo de resina composta. Pôde-se concluir que as resinas compostas apresentaram características físicas de forma e tamanho das partículas de carga inorgânica nem sempre coincidindo com as apresentadas pelos fabricantes e comprovada pela literatura.Made available in DSpace on 2011-12-27T14:14:14Z (GMT).
