Resumo: The present paper refers to the study of 705 children from birth to under six years old assisted by the Health Center, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. The group was evaluated by the relation weight/age, frequency of diseases that implied in the consultation, average number of consultation by groups of age and the Kkind of lactation. With the result of this work it will be possible to draw an outline of the users of the Center and to offer data for the replanning of the Nutrition Service.

O grupo foi avaliado quanto a: relação peso/idade, frequência de morbidades que motivaram a consulta, número médio de consultas por faixa de idade e tipo de aleitamento.
