Research on Public Policy on Tourism in the Legal Amazon is embryonic in the academic environment, an inviting space for researchers. The main objective of this article is to carry out a survey of public policies in tourism of the Federal Deputies of Amapá, since the recognition of Amapá as a state of the Brazilian federation between 1988 and 2021. The text provides data and analyzes about the profile of Amapá politicians and information historical reports on policies aimed at encouraging tourism in the Legal Amazon. The methodology used, of a quantitative nature, worked with primary sources that are part of the Chamber of Deputies portal, from the following guiding question: What were the public policies on tourism developed by the Federal Deputies of Amapá within the Chamber of Deputies? As a result, the actions of all representatives were mapped, giving rise to the construction of a historical perception of tourism in the state, as well as the discreet visibility of the sector that, gradually, has conquered its space. However, requiring a greater volume of public policies aimed at Tourism.
