THE ENCOUNTER OF FLORAL BAROQUE WITH THE LAHARSISM AESTHETIC: FRAGMENTS OF THE WANDERINGS OF GEORGIA O’KEEFFE’S BLOOMS

Resumo: This paper aims to pave the way for the poetic compositions of writer Luís Serguilha, the creator of Laharsism Aesthetic. In the wanderings of my reading experience, drawing inspiration from the conceptual framework of Julia Kristeva, I propose the Floral Baroque style. Within the formation of this Baroque style, which finds its prominent reference in Santa Teresa d’Ávila, emerges the visual thinking of Georgia O’Keeffe. In this perspective, Serguilha’s Laharsism causing seismic disruptions in poetic language, incorporates visual references to the works of Jackson Pollock and Francis Bacon. In the creative intersections of the writing inspired by the paintings of these artists, this research intends to explore the effects of O’Keeffe’s blooms, especially their chromatic aspects, on Laharsist poetics.

Nas errâncias de minha experiência leitora, inspiradas conceitualmente no pensamento de Julia Kristeva, proponho o estilo Barroco Floral. Na formação desse barroco, que encontra em Santa Teresa d’Ávila sua referência de destaque, eclode o pensamento visual de Georgia O’Keeffe. Nessa perspectiva, o Laharsismo serguilhiano, a causar abalos sísmicos na linguagem poética, apresenta no seu repertório visual referências às telas de Jackson Pollock e de Francis Bacon.
