In this sense, people who are sick from these diseases require deployed care because their clinical condition may result dysfunctions and even affect the achievement of basic activities and instrumental activities of daily. Therefore be the constancy experienced by these patients is demarcated by the presence of negative feelings since the possibility of changes as to your self-image the style and life expectancy and the need social and psychological adaptation. In this perspective, one can affirm the existence of the historical relationship and the health-disease process, that it would be justified by the interface between and experience of illness, marked by the pain and suffering, and the religious experience as the source for support and comfort in face of suffering experienced. Soon, The aim through interviews based with semi-structured questionnaires and upon the definitions conceptual essential about religion, health and iliness identifying If religion, while religious experience patients with severe chronic kidney disease of cancer residentes in the municipality of Uruaçu – Goiás, may contribute to he process of of signification of health/disease that are experiencing. A qualitative way, by these two groups analyzed, it was possible to see that religion plays an important role In view of the needs of facing of the dilemmas traumatic events, because resound like support, motivation or way that makes possible the expectancy of cure and return to stand-by mode of nomia.; CIENCIAS HUMANAS::TEOLOGIA

A doença renal crônica e o câncer tornam-se cada vez mais presentes e comuns em nossa sociedade uma vez que são altos os índices de morbimortalidade associados a estas. Neste sentido, as pessoas adoecidas por estas enfermidades requerem cuidados desdobrados, pois sua condição clínica pode acarretar disfunções e ainda comprometer a realização das atividades básicas e instrumentais de vida diária. Assim sendo, a constância vivenciada por estes pacientes é demarcada pela presença de sentimentos negativos visto a possibilidade de mudanças quanto a sua autoimagem, o estilo e a expectativa de vida, e a necessidade de adaptação social e psicológica. Nesta perspectiva, pode-se afirmar a existência da relação histórica entre a religião e o processo saúde-doença, sendo esta justificada pela interface entre a experiência do adoecimento, marcada por dor e sofrimento, e a experiência religiosa como fonte de apoio e conforto diante do sofrimento vivenciado. Logo, objetivou-se, por meio de entrevistas direcionadas com questionários semiestruturados e mediante as noções conceituais fundamentais sobre religião, saúde e doença, identificar se a religião, enquanto experiência religiosa dos pacientes com doença renal crônica ou câncer residentes do município de Uruaçu – Goiás, pode contribuir para o processo de significação da saúde-doença que estão experienciando. De modo qualitativo, diante dos dois grupos pesquisados, percebeu-se que a religião possui um papel relevante diante da necessidade de enfrentamento dos dilemas cotidianos traumáticos, pois ressoa como suporte, motivação, força ou meio que torna possível a expectativa de cura e o retorno ao estado de nomia.
