Resumo: William Alston is, together with Alvin Plantinga, Richard Swinburne and John Hick, one of the most important names in the analytical philosophy of religion, working on topics related to linguistics, metaphysics and epistemology. His famous work Perceiving God, originally published in 1991, finally got a translation into portuguese, done carefully by Prof. Doc. Agnaldo Cuoco Portugal (UnB), and published by Editora Carisma in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Philosophy of Religion (ABFR). In the work, the philosopher aims to defend that the theistic believer, more specifically the one who is involved in what he calls the christian mystical perceptual doxastic practice (PMC), is epistemically justified in maintaining beliefs about God by perceiving him as being or doing something.

Sua famosa obra Perceiving God, publicada originalmente em 1991, finalmente ganhou uma tradução para o português, feita cuidadosamente pelo Prof. Dr. por Agnaldo Cuoco Portugal (UnB), e publicada pela Editora Carisma em parceria com a Associação Brasileira de Filosofia da Religião (ABFR).
