THE PASSIONATE AND NARCISSISTIC ASPECTS OF RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISM: POSSIBLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO FREUDIAN THEORY

Resumo: Based on a literature review, this article aims to approach religious fundamentalism through the theoretical support of Freudian psychoanalysis. This approach is justified by the fact that fundamentalism presents itself as a religious phenomenon that currently gains space and strength in society. Given its progress and its influence on national and world political scenarios, it is necessary to reflect and critically intervene in various areas of knowledge, among which psychoanalysis can also contribute. In his work Freud did not deal with fundamentalism. However, his formalizations about narcissism and the idealization of passionate objects, his understanding of the formation and functioning of groups, his conception of the drive dynamism that moves individuals and the collectivity and his critique of religion are shown in this article as possible. theoretical basis to reflect on fundamentalism.

Este enfoque se justifica por el hecho de que el fundamentalismo se presenta como un fenómeno religioso que actualmente gana espacio y fuerza en la sociedad. Dado su progreso y su influencia en los escenarios políticos nacionales y mundiales, es necesario reflexionar e intervenir críticamente en diversas áreas del conocimiento, entre las cuales el psicoanálisis también puede contribuir. En su trabajo, Freud no se ocupó del fundamentalismo. Sin embargo, sus formalizaciones sobre el narcisismo y la idealización de los objetos apasionados, su comprensión de la formación y el funcionamiento de los grupos, su concepción del dinamismo impulsor que mueve a los individuos y la colectividad y su crítica de la religión se muestran en este artículo como posibles. bases teóricas para reflexionar sobre el fundamentalismo.Elaborado a partir de revisão de literatura, este artigo objetiva abordar o fundamentalismo religioso por meio do aporte teórico da psicanálise freudiana. Essa abordagem se justifica pelo fato de que o fundamentalismo se apresenta como um fenômeno religioso que, atualmente, ganha espaço e força na sociedade. Diante do seu avanço e da sua influência nos cenários políticos nacional e mundial, fazem-se necessárias reflexões e intervenções críticas das várias áreas do saber, dentre as quais a psicanálise também pode contribuir.
