Resumo: This article aims to think about the functions of a work with groups of parents guided by psychoanalysis in public institutions. Thus, a theoretical study on the theme is presented through a survey of psychoanalytic literature about the place of parents in psychoanalysis with children from Freud and Lacan. Next, the possibilities of working with groups of parents in institutions from a psychoanalytic perspective are discussed. To illustrate the theoretical discussion, there are vignettes of cases followed up at a public institution for the treatment of children. Reflections on functions that the group of parents can perform are proposed and it is concluded that this work promotes significant changes in the bond between parents and children.

Por lo tanto, se presenta un estudio teórico sobre el tema realizando una encuesta de la literatura psicoanalítica sobre el lugar de los padres en el psicoanálisis con niños de Freud y Lacan. A continuación, se discuten las posibilidades de trabajar con grupos de padres en instituciones desde una perspectiva psicoanalítica. Para ilustrar la discusión teórica, hay viñetas de casos seguidos en una institución pública para el tratamiento de niños. Se proponen reflexiones sobre las funciones que el grupo de padres puede realizar y se concluye que este trabajo promueve cambios significativos en el vínculo entre padres e hijos.Este artigo visa pensar quais são as funções de um trabalho com grupos de pais orientado pela psicanálise em instituições públicas. Assim, apresenta-se um estudo teórico sobre o tema através da realização de um levantamento da literatura psicanalítica acerca do lugar dos pais na psicanálise com crianças a partir de Freud e de Lacan. A seguir, discutem-se as possibilidades de um trabalho com grupos de pais em instituições em uma perspectiva psicanalítica. Para ilustrar a discussão teórica, conta-se com vinhetas de casos acompanhados em uma instituição pública de tratamento para crianças.
